Summary: The uneven distribution of wealth and individual economic capacities are among of the main forces, which shape modern societies and arguably bias the emerging social structures. However, the study of such socioeconomic correlations is difficult due to lack of multidimensional data, which simultaneously records the economic status and egocentric social network of individuals. Here, we close this gap through the analysis of coupled datasets recording the mobile phone communication and bank credit history of a large set of anonymised individuals living in the country of Mexico. After matching the social structure with individual economic indicators we addressed four different aspects about their correlations: inequalitties, homophilies, spatial segregations and consumption behaviors.
